PicaLibre is a completely free (libre) operating system, designed for all types of computer users. All software and documentation that compose PicaLibre is free (libre).

It is a 100% libre (free) GNU operating system project. Based in Debian / Devuan, with international focus in home and office users, with the development of our own applications (installer, ISO creator, GRUB recoverer, deleted files recover, backup,...). We (Pica Pica HackLab) have been altruistically promoting free software for years ( www.picahack.org and eslibreasturias.rf.gd ) and this distro project arises from our need to always have to be reiteratively ISO customizing for our needs in gratuitous free software learning and installation workshops. None of the existing distros jointly meet our demands (libre kernel, repositories with only free software, no-sudo, no-systemd sysvinit based, good international support, support for different desktops -including lightweight desktop/wm for low power equipment, XFCE, KDE Plasma, TDE-, long-term reliable maintenance, ...).
